MIP-T3 (microtubule-interacting protein associated with TRAF3) was originally identified in a yeast-two hybrid screen for proteins that interact with the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR)-associated factor 3 (TRAF3). As a microtubule binding protein, MIP-T3 has been found to mediate the binding of DISC1 (disrupted-in-schizophrenia 1) to microtubules.
