Recombinant Viral wnvNS1 Protein protein was serially diluted 2-fold and captured by Mouse Anti-Viral wnvNS1 Protein Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB290722) coated on a Clear Polystyrene Microplate (Catalog # DY990). Mouse Anti-Viral wnvNS1 Protein Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB290721) was biotinylated and incubated with the protein captured on the plate. Detection of the standard curve was achieved by incubating Streptavidin-HRP (Catalog # DY998) followed by Substrate Solution (Catalog # DY999) and stopping the enzymatic reaction with Stop Solution (Catalog # DY994).

Background: wnvNS1 Protein

West Nile Virus, or WNV, is a member of the Flaviviridae family that includes other human pathogens such as yellow fever (YF), dengue (DEN), tick-borne encephalitis (TBE), Japanese encephalitis (JEV), and Murray Valley encephalitis (MVE) viruses. West Nile virus (WNV) is a single-stranded RNA mosquito-transmitted virus that causes epidemics of encephalitis and viscerotropic disease. The WNV nonstructural protein NS1 is a 48-kDa highly conserved secreted glycoprotein that does not package with the virion. Even when absent from the virion, immunization with NS1 typically elicits a protective immune response.
