Background: Aurora A

Aurora Kinase A is a member of a family of mitotic serine/threonine kinases. It is implicated with important processes during mitosis and meiosis whose proper function is integral for healthy cell proliferation. Aurora kinase A is highly expressed in testis and weakly in skeletal muscle, thymus and spleen. Also this protein plays a crucial role in tumourigenesis and is overexpressed in many kinds of cancers. Recombinant human Aurora-A fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.

FAQs for Recombinant Human Aurora A His Protein

Showing  1 - 1 of 1 FAQ Showing All
  • Q: Could you tell me biological activity of # NBC1-28779?

A: Unfortunately, we don't know whether this protein has function, because the enzymatic activity has never been tested. Since NBC1-28779 is expressed in E. coli, it is unlikely that it has function. If wanting to have any Aurora A protein with function, please check this: Product Search as all of these were expressed in the insect cell (Sf9) expression system. Furthermore, the specific activities for phosphorylating of serines/threonines have been posted.
