Background: BRCAA1

The novel BRCAA1 protein's epitope, SSKKQKRSHK, was mapped to the cytoplasm of MCF-7 cells. Analysis has shown that the antigen epitope exhibited positive expression in 65% of breast cancer specimens. Its expression is associated with characteristics that are associated with prognosis of breast cancer, and its sera antibody level may be helpful for breast cancer diagnosis.
