Immunoprecipitation:c-Myc-responsive protein Rcl AntibodyNBP3-29085] -Detection of human RCL by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-RCL antibody NBP3-29085 (lot NBP3-29085-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. RCL was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-RCL antibody BL18035. For blotting immunoprecipitated RCL, NBP3-29085 was used at 0.4 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: c-Myc-responsive protein Rcl

C6orf108 was identified on the basis of its stimulation by c-Myc protein. The latter is a transcription factor that participates in the regulation of cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. The exact function of this gene is not known but studies in rat suggest a role in cellular proliferation and c-Myc-mediated transformation. Two alternative transcripts encoding different proteins have been described. [provided by RefSeq]. Transcript Variant: This variant (1) encodes the longer isoform (1).
