Western Blot:[NBP3-30668]-Detection of human CHD1L by western blot and immunoprecipitation. Samples: Whole cell lysate from HEK293T and Jurkat cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-CHD1L antibody used for WB at 0. 04 µg/ml and 0. 4 µg/ml and used for IP at 6 µg/mg lysate. CHD1L was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-CHD1L antibody, which recognizes a downstream epitope. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 3 minutes and 10 seconds.

Background: CHD1L

In response to DNA strand breaks, chromatin adopts a relaxed structure due to the addition of poly(ADP-ribose) (PAR) to chromatin proteins by PARP enzymes (see PARP1; MIM 173870), and this relaxation facilitates the repair of DNA damage. CHD1L interacts with PAR and has a role in chromatin relaxation following DNA damage (Ahel et al., 2009 (PubMed 19661379)).(supplied by OMIM)
