Background: Guanine deaminase

Guanine deaminase Protein is an enzyme responsible for the hydrolytic deamination of guanine. Studies in rat ortholog suggest this gene plays a role in microtubule assembly. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Recombinant human guanine deaminase Protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

FAQs for Recombinant Human Guanine deaminase His Protein

Showing  1 - 1 of 1 FAQ Showing All
  • Q: I recently order guanosine deaminase protein (NBP2-23093) from your company. I need to find out what the expected enzyme activity is for this product in order to plan an experiment.

A: This protein has not been tested for activity and under the application section defines the only application this has been validated in as PAGE Poly-acrylamide Gel Electrophoresis as a control for western blot. When our proteins are tested and active, they will have a designation of FUNC (functional) in the Applications section. This does not mean the protein is not active but we have not tested or measured the protein activity and the process of purification did not necessarily conserve the activity.
