Detection of Latent TGF‑ beta bp1 in PC‑3 Human Cell Line by Flow Cytometry. PC-3 human prostate cancer cell line was stained with Mouse Anti-Human Latent TGF-beta bp1 PE-conjugated Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # IC388P, filled histogram) or isotype control antibody (Catalog # IC002P, open histogram). To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed with Flow Cytometry Fixation Buffer (Catalog # FC004) and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Permeabilization/Wash Buffer I (Catalog # FC005). Background: Latent TGF-beta bp1

TGF-beta  is synthesized as high molecular weight latent complexes. In platelets, the large latent TGF-beta 1 complex is composed of three components: mature TGF-beta 1 dimer; latency associated peptide; and a latent TGF-beta binding protein (LTBP) (1-3).The cDNAs for four binding proteins (LTBP-1, -2, -3 and -4) have now been cloned (4-5).
