LINGO-2 (LRR and Ig domain-containing, Nogo Receptor-interacting protein 2; also LRRN6C and LERN3), is a member of the LRR transmembrane (TM) protein family. LINGO-2 is thought to function outside the CNS with little involvement by p75/NgR1. The human LINGO-2 precursor is a 606 amino acid (aa) type I TM protein that contains a large extracellular domain and a short cytoplasmic tail. The human LINGO-2 precursor is 99% and 98% aa identical to dog and mouse LINGO-2, respectively.
