Janelia Fluor 526®, SE
Chemical Name: 2-(3-(3,3-Difluoroazetidin-1-ium-1-ylidene)-6-(3,3-difluoroazetidin-1-yl)-2,7-difluoro-3H-xanthen-9-yl)-4-(((2,5-dioxopyrrolidin-1-yl)oxy)carbonyl)benzoate
Biological Activity
Janelia Fluor 526®, SE is a janelia Fluor 526® is a fluorogenic yellow fluorescent dye; supplied as an NHS ester for coupling to primary amine groups. NHS ester can be converted to relevant substrate for use in self-labeling tag systems, e.g. HaloTag® and SNAP-tag®. Suitable for confocal fluorescent imaging and super-resolution microscopy (SRM) techniques, such as dSTORM (live and fixed cells) and STED. Can be multiplexed for two color imaging with Janelia Fluor® 635 SE (Cat. No. 6419). Cell permeable. Excitation maximum = 526 nm; emission maximum = 550 nm; quantum yield = 0.87; Extinction coefficient = 118,000 M-1cm-1.To measure the absorbance spectrum of this dye we recommend the following solvent: TFE plus 0.1% TFA.
Please see the protocol for further information on protein/antibody labeling and conjugation.
We also offer Janelia Fluor® conjugated antibodies and custom conjugation services with our sister company Novus Biologicals.
HaloTag is a trademark of Promega Corporation, and SNAP-tag is a trademark of New England BioLabs, Inc.
