Background: KIF22

KIF22 is encoded by this gene is a member of kinesin-like protein family. This family of proteins are microtubule-dependent molecular motors that transport organelles within cells and move chromosomes during cell division. The C-terminal half of this protein has been shown to bind DNA. Studies with the Xenopus homolog suggests its essential role in metaphase chromosome alignment and maintenance.

  • Q: Our lab is planning to purchase the product KIF22 Antibody (NBP1-82876) from your company and I'm wondering if the protocol you provide online (ICC protocol) is what you used for that antibody? Is there any specific attention we should pay in order to use this protocol for immunofluorescence with KIF22 Antibody (NBP1-82876)? Thanks a lot!

    Our lab did not use any customized protocol for the validation of this antibody and the only special recommendation would be about fixation using PFA and permeabilization by Triton X-100. This antibody should work for ICC-IF at a working concentration of 1-4 ug/ml. Please see our commonly used ICC-IF protocol.
