Q: How is Biotinylation assessed on Biotin-conjugated antiboies produced by Novus Biologicals?
A: For all Biotin-conjugated antiboies produced by Novus Biologicals, the degree of labeling (DOL) is measured by HABA/avidin assay and listed on the product label (along with the concentration).Because these biotin conjugated antibodies are made on demand, every biotinylated anntibody sold has to meet minimum specifications for labeling and concentration.
The DOL should be between 2-8 and the concentration should be greater than 0.5 mg/mL.
