ELISA: NBP2-41365 binds human NGAL coated onto a solid phase. NBP2-41365 forms a sandwich pair with NBP2-23529, NBP1-30000, NBP1-30002, NBP1-30003, NBP1-30004 and NBP2-23600 for measuring human NGAL. When NBP2-41365 is used as a biotinylated detection antibody with NBP2-23600 as a capture antibody, the assay is specific for NGAL monomer, cross-reacting <1% with NGAL homodimer.

The members of the lipocalin family are characterized by their ability to bind small lipophilic substances in their hydrophobic core, and thereby serve as transporters of substances.
