Immunoprecipitation:LMAN1 AntibodyNBP3-30169] -Detection of human LMAN1 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-LMAN1 antibody NBP3-30169 (lot NBP3-30169-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. LMAN1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-LMAN1 antibody. For blotting immunoprecipitated LMAN1, NBP3-30169 was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: LMAN1

Protein trafficking along the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to the Golgi apparatus occurs by vesicular transport between membranous compartments. LMAN1 is a mannose-specific lectin transport receptor protein which cycles between the ER and the Golgi complex. LMAN1 is involved in intracellular transport of many glycoproteins. LMAN1 is useful in studying mechanisms underlying protein trafficking early in the secretory pathway.
