Immunoprecipitation:LSM7 AntibodyNBP3-30615] -Detection of human LSM7 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-LSM7 antibody NBP3-30615 (lot NBP3-30615-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. LSM7 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-LSM7.. For blotting immunoprecipitated LSM7, NBP3-30615 was used at 0.4 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: LSM7

Sm-like proteins were identified in a variety of organisms based on sequence homology with the Sm protein family (see SNRPD2; MIM 601061). Sm-like proteins contain the Sm sequence motif, which consists of 2 regions separated by a linker of variable length that folds as a loop. The Sm-like proteins are thought to form a stable heteromer present in tri-snRNP particles, which are important for pre-mRNA splicing.(supplied by OMIM)
