DC-LAMP is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that is a member of the LAMP family of molecules. It is restricted to mature dendritic cells and type II pneumocytes. It is expressed in the endosomal/lysosomal compartment and may play a role in MHC class II processing. DC-LAMP activity promotes Th1-type responses.
