Background: Mycobacterium tuberculosis Ab85A

Antigen 85A, belong to the antigen 85 complex (Antigen 85A, B, C). The enzymes of the antigen 85 complex possess mycolyltransferase activity and catalyze the synthesis of the most abundant glycolipid of the mycobacterial cell wall, the cord factor. The cord factor (trehalose 6,6'-dimycolate, TDM) is essential for the integrity of the mycobacterial cell wall and pathogenesis of the bacillus. TDM is synthesized from two molecules of trehalose-6'-monomycolate (TMM) by Antigen 85A. Recombinant Mycobacterium tuberculosis Antigen 85A protein, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in Hi-5 cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

FAQs for Recombinant Mycobacterium tuberculosis Ab85A His Protein

Showing  1 - 1 of 1 FAQ Showing All
  • Q: Is this product useful for T cell stimulation assays?

    A:

The TB Ab85A Protein (NBP1-99035) has only been validated in SDS-PAGE. It is a recombinant protein (with a His-tag), and it has not been tested for any functional activity. Therefore, unfortunately, we do not know whether or not it would work in T cell stimulation assays, and this application is not covered by our guarantee. However, if you do test this recombinant protein in your functional assay, you could apply for our Innovator's Reward program, where in return for sharing your results (positive or negative) with us by submitting an online review, you would receive a discount voucher for 100% of the purchase price of the reviewed product.
