Biological Activity

Noradrenaline bitartrate is an endogenous adrenergic hormone and neurotransmitter. A classical stress hormone; underlies the fight or flight response, along with adrenaline. Increases heart rate. Vasoconstrictor.

Primary mouse ventricular cardiomyocytes were treated with Noradrenaline bitartrate (NA, 5 µM) for 5 min and stimulated at 1 Hz frequency to follow cell shortening. NA increased cell shortening (shown in Image).
