Biological Activity
OG 488 BAPTA-1 AM is a cell-permeable, fluorescently labeled Ca2+ indicator. Composed of a green fluorescent probe (OG 488, Cat. No. 6257) conjugated to a cell-permeable Ca2+ chelator (BAPTA AM, Cat. No. 2787). Fluorescent intensity increases approximately 14-fold from resting intensity, upon Ca2+ binding. Displays uniform cellular distribution with minimal subcellular compartmentalization.
