Biological ActivityOrexin B (mouse) is an endogenous agonist at orexin receptors. May be involved in the regulation of feeding, sleep-wake cycle and other hypothalamic functions. Orexin B exerts excitatory effects on nigral dopaminergic neurons and alleviates motor symptoms in a Parkinson's disease mouse model.
