Immunoprecipitation:PPA2 AntibodyNBP3-29052] -Detection of human PPA2 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from Jurkat cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-PPA2 antibody NBP3-29052 (lot NBP3-29052-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. PPA2 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-PPA2.. For blotting immunoprecipitated PPA2, NBP3-29052 was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

PPA2 is encoded by this gene is localized to the mitochondrion, is highly similar to members of the inorganic pyrophosphatase (PPase) family, and contains the signature sequence essential for the catalytic activity of PPase. PPases catalyze the hydrolysis of pyrophosphate to inorganic phosphate, which is important for the phosphate metabolism of cells.
