Immunoprecipitation:PPAR gamma/NR1C3 AntibodyNBP3-30113] -Detection of mouse PPAR-gamma by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP; 20% of IP loaded) from differentiated mouse NIH 3T3-L1 cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-PPAR-gamma antibody NBP3-30113 (lot NBP3-30113-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. PPAR-gamma was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-PPAR-gamma.. For blotting immunoprecipitated PPAR-gamma, NBP3-30113 was used at 0.1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

Background: PPAR gamma/NR1C3

PPAR gamma(PPARG), which encodes a member of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) subfamily of nuclear receptors. Three subtypes of PPARs are known: PPAR-alpha, PPAR-delta, and PPAR-gamma. The protein encoded by this gene is PPAR-gamma and is a regulator of adipocyte differentiation. Additionally, PPAR-gamma has been implicated in the pathology of numerous diseases including obesity, diabetes, atherosclerosis and cancer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different isoforms have been described.
