Immunoprecipitation:[NBP3-30464]-

Immunoprecipitation:[NBP3-30464]-Detection of human PYCR1/P5CR by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-PYCR1/P5CR antibody used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. PYCR1/P5CR was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-PYCR1/P5CR antibody. For blotting immunoprecipitated PYCR1/P5CR, was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Background: PYCR1

PYCR1 encodes an enzyme that catalyzes the NAD(P)H-dependent conversion of pyrroline-5-carboxylate to proline. This enzyme may also play a physiologic role in the generation of NADP(+) in some cell types. The protein forms a homopolymer and localizes to the mitochondrion. Alternate splicing results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq]
