Immunoprecipitation:RBBP6 AntibodyNBP3-30517] -Detection of human RBBP6 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-RBBP6 antibody NBP3-30517 (lot NBP3-30517-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. RBBP6 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-RBBP6.. For blotting immunoprecipitated RBBP6, NBP3-30517 was used at 0.4 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: RBBP6

The retinoblastoma tumor suppressor (RBBP6) protein binds with many other proteins. In various human cancers, pRB suppresses cellular proliferation and is inactivated. Cell cycle-dependent phosphorylation regulates the activity of pRB. This gene encodes a protein which binds to underphosphorylated but not phosphorylated pRB. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different isoforms have been found for this gene.
