WB: Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx. 100 kDa band in human brain (amygdala and substantia nigra) and mouse kidney lysates after 1 ug/ml antibody staining An approx. 140 kDa is observed (calculated MW of 140 kDa band according to human NP_002959.2 and mouse NP_067365.2, and 130 kDa band according to human NP_001121364.1). Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in scientific literatures.

Background: SALL1

The protein encoded by the SALL1 gene is a zinc finger transcriptional repressor and may be part of the NuRD histone deacetylase complex (HDAC). Defects in this gene are a cause of Townes-Brocks syndrome (TBS) as well as bronchio-oto-renal syndrome (BOR). Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
