Immunoprecipitation:SEC13 AntibodyNBP3-30465] -Detection of human Sec13 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP; 20% of IP loaded) from HEK293T cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-Sec13 antibody NBP3-30465 (lot NBP3-30465-1) used for IP at 6 µg/mg lysate. Sec13 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-Sec13 antibody BL14368. For blotting immunoprecipitated Sec13, NBP3-30465 was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

SEC13L1 is encoded by this gene belongs to the SEC13 family of WD-repeat proteins. It is a constituent of the endoplasmic reticulum and the nuclear pore complex. It has similarity to the yeast SEC13 protein, which is required for vesicle biogenesis from endoplasmic reticulum during the transport of proteins.
