Simple Plex Discovery Human Dopa Decarboxylase/DDC Summary

Simple Plex Discovery assay is for the detection of human Dopa Decarboxylase (DDC) in cell culture supernatant (CCS), serum, plasma (EDTA/Heparin), and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in Sample Diluent SD13.

*The Sample Volume represented is based on the amount of sample incorporated into the reaction after taking into account the assay's minimum required dilution for a given matrix. Serial dilution may be necessary to achieve some of the final sample volumes represented.

Background: Dopa Decarboxylase/DDC

Dopa decarboxylase (DDC) is a group II decarboxylase that catalyzes the decarboxylation of aromatic L-amino acids. DDC produces the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin from L-Dopa and L-5-hydroxytryptophan, respectively. Deficiency of DDC is associated with severe developmental delay, oculogyric crises and autonomic dysfunction.
