Background: TPK1

TPK1, also known as thiamin pyrophosphokinase 1, catalyzes the phosphorylation of thiamine to thiamine pyrophosphate. This protein can also catalyze the phosphorylation of pyrithiamine to pyrithiamine pyrophosphate. Recombinant human TPK1 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.

FAQs for Recombinant Human TPK1 His Protein

Showing  1 - 1 of 1 FAQ Showing All
  • Q: We are trying to get activity out of this enzyme (thiamine pyrophosphokinase) and are having difficulty. Do you guys have any recommendations that may help us out?

A: I am sorry for any confusion regarding our protein product NBP1-99102. This antibody is sold with a reducing agent present in the buffer as the protein is advertised for use in SDS PAGE gels as a positive control. Our lab has not yet tested this protein for use in functional assays that require activity.
