Immunoprecipitation:TRA2A AntibodyNBP3-29213] -Detection of human TRA2-alpha by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-TRA2-alpha antibody NBP3-29213 used for IP at 6 µg/mg lysate. TRA2-alpha was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-TRA2-alpha., which recognizes a downstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated TRA2-alpha, was used at 0.4 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Background: TRA2A

TRA2A is a member of the transformer 2 homolog family and encodes a protein with two RS domains and an RRM (RNA recognition motif) domain. This phosphorylated nuclear protein binds to specific RNA sequences and plays a role in the regulation of pre-mRNA splicing. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described; however, the full-length nature of some of these variants has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq]
