Immunoprecipitation:UDP glucose dehydrogenase AntibodyNBP3-30272] -Detection of human UGDH by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-UGDH antibody NBP3-30272 (lot NBP3-30272-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. UGDH was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-UGDH antibody BL18500. For blotting immunoprecipitated UGDH, NBP3-30272 was used at 0.4 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Background: UDP glucose dehydrogenase

UDP glucose dehydrogenase is encoded by this gene converts UDP-glucose to UDP-glucuronate and thereby participates in the biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans such as hyaluronan, chondroitin sulfate, and heparan sulfate. These glycosylated compounds are common components of the extracellular matrix and likely play roles in signal transduction, cell migration, and cancer growth and metastasis. The expression of this gene is up-regulated by transforming growth factor beta and down-regulated by hypoxia. [provided by RefSeq]
