Scientific Data Images for XPA Antibody

Western Blot: XPA Antibody [NB100-93321]

Western Blot: XPA Antibody [NB100-93321]

Western Blot: XPA Antibody [NB100-93321] - Whole cell lysate (50 ug) from HeLa, K-562, HEK293T, and Jurkat cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-XPA antibody used for WB at 0.1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.
Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin: XPA Antibody [NB100-93321]

Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin: XPA Antibody [NB100-93321]

Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin: XPA Antibody [NB100-93321] - Detection of human XPA by immunohistochemistry. Sample: FFPE section of human breast carcinoma. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti- XPA (NB100-93321). Detection: DAB.
Immunoprecipitation: XPA Antibody [NB100-93321]

Immunoprecipitation: XPA Antibody [NB100-93321]

Immunoprecipitation: XPA Antibody [NB100-93321] - Detection of human XPA by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-XPA antibody NB100-93321 (lot NB100-93321-3) used for IP at 6 ug per reaction. XPA was also immunoprecipitated by a previous lot of this antibody (lot NB100-93321-2) and another rabbit anti-XPA antibody. For blotting immunoprecipitated XPA, NB100-93321 was used at 0.1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: XPA

This gene encodes a zinc finger protein involved in DNA excision repair. The encoded protein is part of the NER (nucleotide excision repair) complext which is responsible for repair of UV radiation-induced photoproducts and DNA adducts induced by chemical carcinogens. Mutations in this gene are associated with xeroderma pigmentosum complementation group A. [provided by RefSeq]

FAQs for XPA Antibody

Showing  1 - 1 of 1 FAQ Showing All
  • Q: What's the size of protein that your XPA antibody (NB100-93321) detects?

A: Xeroderma pigmentosum group A-complementing protein (XPA) has an expected molecular weight of approximately 31 kD and this protein undergoes post-translational modifications (PTMs) such as phosphorylation as well as ubiquitination that leads to small increase in its observed molecular weight in Western blots. Our XPA antibody (NB100-93321) has been validated in whole cell lysate from HeLa cells, wherein it detected specific single band at 39kDa.
