Dopamine D2 Receptor Antagonists Fluorescent Probes and Dyes

D₂ receptors are members of the dopamine receptor G-protein-coupled receptor family that also includes D₁, D₃, D₄ and D₅. They are located primarily in the caudate putamen, nucleus accumbens and olfactory tubercle where they are involved in the modulation of locomotion, reward, reinforcement and memory and learning. The human D₂ receptor gene has been localized to chromosome 11 (11q22-23).
