Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ADAM9 antibody NBP2-32260 used for WB at 0.04 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

Immunoprecipitation: ADAM9 Antibody [NBP2-32260] - Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) prepared using RIPA buffer from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ADAM9 antibody NBP2-32260 used for IP at 6 ug per reaction. ADAM9 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-ADAM9 antibody BL16249. For blotting immunoprecipitated ADAM9, NBP2-32260 was used at 0.4 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 seconds.

Background: ADAM9

ADAM9 encodes a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family. Members of this family are membrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venom disintegrins, and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis. The protein encoded by this gene interacts with SH3 domain-containing proteins, binds mitotic arrest deficient 2 beta protein, and is also involved in TPA-induced ectodomain shedding of membrane-anchored heparin-binding EGF-like growth factor. Two alternative splice variants have been identified, encoding distinct isoforms.
