FAQs for BCOR Antibody
-
Q: This antibody works fine with Hela nuclear extracts. The amino acid sequence of mentioned epitope has is an identity of 90% with mouse. Therefore, I wondered if the antibody can be used with mES nuclear extract?
A: We have not tested BCOR Antibody (NB100-87005) with mouse samples, and so cannot guarantee its use with this species. However, I agree that the sequence similarity between the immunogen sequence and the equivalent section of the mouse protein is high, indicating that the antibody is very likely to cross-react with mouse BCOR; normally our lab recommends using the antibody if the homology is 85% or higher. If you do go ahead and test NB100-87005 with mouse cells, you would be eligible for our Innovator's Reward, where in return for completing an online review with image, detailing your positive or negative results, you would receive a discount voucher for the purchase price of the reviewed product - please see here for further details: Innovator's Reward program. Alternatively, NBP1-68235 is a BCOR antibody that is guaranteed for mouse, although it isn't validated in immunoprecipitation, so if you used the antibody this particular application, again you would not be covered by our guarantee but you could apply for the Innovator's Reward.
