Product Specifications

Immunogen

CARD10 antibody was raised against a 16 amino acid synthetic peptide near the amino terminus of human CARD10. The immunogen is located within the first 50 amino acids of CARD10. Amino Acid Squence: MPGRAEAGEAEEEAGA

Reactivity Notes

Immunogen displays the following percentage of sequence identity for non-tested species: Mouse: (81%)

Specificity

CARD10 antibody is human specific. At least three isoforms of CARD10 are known to exist; this antibody will only detect isoform 1. CARD10 antibody is predicted not to cross-react with other CARMA proteins.

Background: CARD10/CARMA3

The caspase recruitment domain (CARD) is a protein module that consists of 6 or 7 antiparallel alpha helices. It participates in apoptosis signaling through highly specific protein-protein homophilic interactions. CARDs induce nuclear factor kappa-B (NFKB; MIM 164011) activity through the IKK (e.g., IKBKB; MIM 603258) complex. CARD9 (MIM 607212), CARD10, CARD11 (MIM 607210), and CARD14 (MIM 607211) interact with BCL10 (MIM 603517) and are involved in NFKB signaling complexes. Except for CARD9, these CARD proteins are members of the membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family.
