Immunoprecipitation:CHMP2B AntibodyNBP3-29240] -Detection of human CHMP2B by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-CHMP2B antibody NBP3-29240 (lot NBP3-29240-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. CHMP2B was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-CHMP2B antibody. For blotting immunoprecipitated CHMP2B, was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Component of the escrt-iii complex, which is required for multivesicular bodies (mvbs) formation and sorting of endosomal cargo proteins into mvbs. the mvb pathway mediates delivery of transmembrane proteins into the lumen of the lysosome for degradation. the escrt-iii complex is probably involved in the concentration of mvb cargo. in case of infection, the hiv-1 virus takes advantage of the escrt-iii complex for budding and exocytic cargos of viral proteins.
