Immunoprecipitation:COG7 AntibodyNBP3-28910] -Detection of human COG7 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-COG7 antibody NBP3-28910 (lot NBP3-28910-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. COG7 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-COG7 antibody. For blotting immunoprecipitated COG7, NBP3-28910 was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: COG7

Multiprotein complexes are key determinants of Golgi apparatus structure and its capacity for intracellular transport and glycoprotein modification. Several complexes have been identified, including the Golgi transport complex (GTC), the LDLC complex, which is involved in glycosylation reactions, and the SEC34 complex, which is involved in vesicular transport. These 3 complexes are identical and have been termed the conserved oligomeric Golgi (COG) complex, which includes COG7 (Ungar et al., 2002 [PubMed 11980916]).[supplied by OMIM]
