Immunoprecipitation: Dcp1a Antibody [NBP2-04013] - Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa (15 and 50 ug for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded), 293T (T; 50 ug) and Jurkat (J; 50 ug) cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-DCP1A antibody NBP2-04013 used for WB at 0.4 ug/ml (A) and 1 ug/ml (B) and used for IP at 6 ug/mg lysate. DCP1A was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-DCP1A antibodies NBP2-04038 and NBP2-04039, which recognize upstream epitopes. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 3 minutes (A) and 10 seconds (B).

Background: Dcp1a

Decapping is a key step in general and regulated mRNA decay. The protein encoded by this gene is a decapping enzyme. This protein and another decapping enzyme form a decapping complex, which interacts with the nonsense-mediated decay factor hUpf1 and may be recruited to mRNAs containing premature termination codons. This protein also participates in the TGF-beta signaling pathway.
