Western Blot: EBAG9/RCAS1 Antibody [NBP1-47292] - Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa (5, 15 and 50 ug for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded), 293T (T; 50 ug), and mouse NIH3T3 (M; 50 ug) cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-RCAS1 antibody NBP1-47292 used for WB at 0.04 ug/ml (A) and 0.4 ug/ml (B) and used for IP at 3 ug/mg lysate. RCAS1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-RCAS1 antibody NBP1-47291, which recognizes an upstream epitope. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 30 seconds (A) and 3 seconds (B).

Background: EBAG9/RCAS1

This gene was identified as an estrogen-responsive gene. Regulation of transcription by estrogen is mediated by estrogen receptor which binds to the estrogen-responsive element (ERE) found in the 5'-flanking region of this gene. The encoded protein is a tumor-associated antigen that is expressed at high frequency in a variety of cancers. Two transcript variants differing in the 5' UTR, but encoding the same protein, have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]
