Western Blot:[NBP3-28967]-Detection of human ETV3 by western blot and immunoprecipitation. Samples: Whole cell lysate from Jurkat, HeLa and HEK293T cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ETV3 antibody used for WB at 0. 1 µg/ml and 1 µg/ml and used for IP at 6 µg/mg lysate. ETV3 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-ETV3 antibody, which recognizes an upstream epitope. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 3 minutes and 30 seconds.

Background: ETV3

The ETV3 gene encodes an ETS translocation variant 3 protein, that in isoform 1 is 512 amino acids long at 57 kDA and in isoform 2 is 143 amino acids long at nearly 17 kDA. This protein functions in terminal macrophage differentiation as a transcriptional repressor that contributes to growth arrest. It also represses MMP1 promoter activity and interacts with the MYC and DDX20 genes. ETV3 is linked to diseases heart disease, hypertension, ADHD, and conduct disorder.
