Western Blot:[NBP3-30629]-Detection of human FBXO28 by western blot and immunoprecipitation. Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-FBXO28 antibody used for WB at 0. 4 µg/ml and 1 µg/ml and used for IP at 10 µg/mg lysate. FBXO28 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-FBXO28 antibody BL6506, which recognizes an upstream epitope. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 30 seconds.

Background: FBXO28

FBXO28 (F-box only protein 28) is a 41 kDa member of the F-box protein family. Members of this family are characterized by an approximately 40-amino acid F-box motif. F-box proteins, along with SKP1 and cullin form SCF complexes that act as protein-ubiquitin ligases. FBXO28 probably recognizes and binds to some phosphorylated proteins and promotes their ubiquitination and degradation.
