Western Blot: FNBP1 Antibody [NBP1-47260] - Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa (5, 15 and 50 ug for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) and 293T (T; 50 ug) cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-FBP17 antibody NBP1-47260 used for WB at 0.1 ug/ml (A) and 1 ug/ml (B) and used for IP at 10 ug/mg lysate. FBP17 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-FBP17 antibody NBP1-47261, which recognizes a downstream epitope. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 3 minutes (A) and 30 seconds (B).

Background: FNBP1

The protein recognised by this antibody is a member of the formin binding protein family. The protein contains an N terminal Fer/Cdc42 interacting protein 4 (CIP4) homology (FCH) domain followed by a coiled coil domain, a proline rich motif, a second coiled coil domain, a Rho family protein binding domain (RBD), and a C terminal SH3 domain. This protein binds sorting nexin 2 (SNX2), tankyrase (TNKS), and dynamin; an interaction between this protein and formin has not been demonstrated yet in human.
