Immunoprecipitation:FoxC1 AntibodyNBP3-29488] -Detection of human FOXC1 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-FOXC1 antibody NBP3-29488 used for IP at 6 µg/mg lysate. FOXC1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-FOXC1., which recognizes a downstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated FOXC1, was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Background: FoxC1

FOXC1 belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors which is characterized by a distinct DNA-binding forkhead domain. The specific function of this gene has not yet been determined; however, it has been shown to play a role in the regulation of embryonic and ocular development. Mutations in this gene cause various glaucoma phenotypes including primary congenital glaucoma, autosomal dominant iridogoniodysgenesis anomaly, and Axenfeld-Rieger anomaly
