GPR87 is a G protein-coupled receptor that has been shown to be overexpressed in lung squamous cell carcinoma. GPR87 is up-regulated by p53 and by DNA damage in a p53-dependent manner. GPR87 may be explored as a novel therapeutic target for cancer treatment and prevention.
