IQGAP2 (IQ motif with Ras GAP-related domain 2) is a 180‑190 kDa member of the IQGAP family of proteins. It has limited expression (hepatocytes, platelets, parietal cells), binds to GTP-bound Cdc42, blocking GTP hydrolysis, and participates in actin cross-linking. Human IQGAP2 is 1575 amino acids (aa) in length. It contains one actin-binding CH domain (aa 41‑156), a Pro-binding WWP region (aa 594‑627), three consecutive calmodulin-binding IQ motifs (aa 690‑779), and a noncatalytic Ras-GAP domain (aa 917‑1150). There are multiple IQGAP2 splice variants. One shows a seven aa substitution for aa 1‑454 coupled to a deletion of aa 642‑698, while a second shows a 67 aa substitution for aa 303 and 304. IQGAP-2 is 59% aa identical to IQGAP1.

Scientific Data Images for Human IQGAP2 Antibody
Detection of Human IQGAP2 by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line, Huh-7 human hepatoma cell line, Ramos human Burkitt's lymphoma cell line, and Jurkat human acute T cell leukemia cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Human IQGAP2 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF5068) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF016). A specific band was detected for IQGAP2 at approximately 185 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.Applications for Human IQGAP2 Antibody
