Integrin alpha V beta 6 (aVb6) is a heterodimeric adhesion protein that is exclusively expressed on subsets of epithelial cells, especially during development, after injury or inflammation, or on many carcinomas. Active aVb6 binds to the extracellular matrix proteins Fibronectin and Tenascin C as well as the TGF-beta latency-associated peptide (LAP). It cooperates with LTBP-1, Fibronectin, and PAR-1 to activate TGF-beta 1 or TGF-beta 3 from large latent complexes. aVb6 also plays a role in Treg development, tumor progression, and virus cellular entry.

Immunoprecipitation: Integrin alpha V beta 6 Antibody (AvB6 53a.2) - BSA Free [NBP2-50449]
Immunoprecipitation: Integrin alpha V beta 6 Antibody (AvB6 53a.2) [NBP2-50449] - avb6 was immunoprecipitated with rat mAbs and western blotted for B6 with C19 antibody. Film was then exposed for different time exposures. The control lane was DX3puroB6 lysate. 59A, 10B2, 620W and 12D shows a very good result in revealing the double band for β6 by 5 seconds, and 53a2 shows only the upper band of B6. By 1 minute, most rat mAbs reveal a B6 immunoprecipitate. Data are from one of three separate experiments.Applications for Integrin alpha V beta 6 Antibody (AvB6 53a.2) - BSA Free

Q: Is your Integrin alpha V beta 6 Antibody (AvB6 53a.2) a mixed clone?
A: Yes, this monoclonal antibody contain two clones: clones AvB6 and 53a.2 which are against Integrin alpha V and Integrin beta 6, respectively. Clone 53a2 is against human αvβ6 (PMID: 18451156 ). Clone AvB6 was produced using immunogen "Mouse fibroblasts retrovirally infected with cDNA to human beta6 (3T3b6.19). The cells expressed a mouse/human avb6 chimera i.e. Integrin alpha V is from mouse, whereas beta 6 is from human.
