Background: Jagged 2

Protein jagged-2 (JAG2)is a Notch signaling pathway protein which is a ligand for Notch-1. It is a single-pass type 1 membrane protein which contains one DSL domain, sixteen EGF-like domains and one VWFC domain. JAG2, along with JAG1, DLL3 and DLL1 act as predominant Notch ligands, which have overlapping receptor binding specificities. JAG2 is also reported to regulating the expression of cytokines that can promote antitumor immunity.
