Background: Melatonin R1A/MT1/MTNR1A

Melatonin Receptor 1A encodes one of two high affinity forms of a receptor for melatonin, the primary hormone secreted by the pineal gland. This receptor is a G-protein coupled, 7-transmembrane receptor that is responsible for melatonin effects on mammalian circadian rhythm and reproductive alterations affected by day length. The receptor is an integral membrane protein that is readily detectable and localized to two specific regions of the brain. The hypothalamic suprachiasmatic nucleus appears to be involved in circadian rhythm while the hypophysial pars tuberalis may be responsible for the reproductive effects of melatonin. FAQs for Melatonin R1A/MT1/MTNR1A Antibody - BSA Free

Showing  1 - 1 of 1 FAQ Showing All
  • Q: I saw that you have the antibodies for the both receptors of melatonin but not listed with FACS application. I need more information about what is better for my assay.

    A:

At this time, none of our melatonin receptor antibodies have been tested and validated in Flow. Should you choose to purchase and test one of them, you would qualify for the Innovator's Rewards program. You should take a look at each individual antibody, the clonality, conjugates, immunogen region and all relevant data in order to decide which product would be most suitable for your needs.
