    This antibody has been shown to recognize mouse IFN-gamma R2 expressed on mouse T cells (Bach, E. et al., 1995, Science 270:1215). This application was not tested by R&D Systems.

    Measured by its ability to neutralize IFN‑ gamma  R2-mediated inhibition of EMCV-induced cytopathy in the L‑929 mouse fibroblast cell line. Vogel, S. and M. The Neutralization Dose (ND50) is typically 0.2-1 µg/mL in the presence of 1 ng/mL Recombinant Mouse IFN‑ gamma.

Data Examples
IFN‑ gamma  Inhibition of EMCV-induced Cytopathy and Neutralization by Mouse IFN‑ gamma  R2 Antibody. Recombinant Mouse IFN‑ gamma (Catalog # 485-MI) reduces the Encephalomyocarditis Virus (EMCV)-induced cytopathy in the L‑929 mouse fibroblast cell line in a dose-dependent manner (orange line). Inhibition of EMCV activity elicited by Recombinant Mouse IFN‑ gamma (1 ng/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Hamster Anti-Mouse IFN‑ gamma  R2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB773). The ND50 is typically 0.2-1 µg/mL.

    Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

Background: IFN-gamma R2

Interferon gamma Receptor 2 (IFN-gamma R2) is a type II transmembrane protein that associates with IFN-gamma R1 to form a high affinity receptor complex for IFN-gamma. IFN‑ gamma  R2 is required for signal transduction but does not bind IFN-gamma by itself.
