Current research is being conducted on MRPL43 and its connection to several diseases and disorders, including chronic progressive external ophthalmoplegia, prostatitis, Alzheimer's disease, and paraplegia. The protein interacts with ICT1, ARRB2, EIF1B, DDX56, and AARS2.
